ANATOMY & BIOMECHANICS OF BREATHING

Our breath is the barometer of our state of being yet we only seem to take notice of it when we are panicked or when it feels short. This workshop is the perfect place to reclaim your relationship with the breath. Learn to unlock your breath’s potential and optimise your physical, mental and emotional health. Kindly note that is not a pranayama practice. There will be a short lecture on anatomy and physiology accompanied by lots of inquiry practices and techniques to help you experience the deep healing benefits of breath work. 

This workshop is suitable for all practitioners especially if you’re keen to use your breath to power up your life, let go of any unhealthy breathing habits, such as breath holding, shallow breathing and over breathing and release both physical and emotional tension from the body. This can dramatically shift the way you feel in your body and bring higher states of awareness to your mind. 

Bring your own mat. Wear comfortable clothes and try not to eat a large meal beforehand. Please do not wear perfume or cologne.

Booking Policy: Bookings close 1 hour before the session starts.

Cancellation Policy: If you are unwell or can’t make it for class you have to comply with Urban Yogis’ cancellation policy. You can cancel your reservation for any class and receive a full refund for the total amount paid as long as the cancellation is requested no later than 12 hours before the scheduled time of the class. Allowance for use of ticket on other days is only for extenuating circumstances and is up to our discretion. Otherwise, it follows as per cancellation policy.
