WORKSHOP: Spiral Somatics

This is an experiential workshop focused on deep listening and sensing abilities. Experience your spiral architecture, fascial continuity and biotensegrity in your body. 

Spirals are inherent in every biological organism as it’s the most effective way for something to grow in two directions under the force of gravity and its rebound. It is the motion of rotation created by gravitational differences and our body too was born out of this spiraling design. We see this spiral pattern in our muscles and fascial system, how they wrap bones around in a continuous network of spiraling movement, the fluids in our body that flow in spiral currents, even our organs and limbs that came to be spun out from a spiral. These spiral movements ignite energy (prana) within us. In the workshop, there will be movement, exploration and contact.

Expect a short lecture format, various inquiry based practices and discussion. All of it designed to help you explore your own natural spiral architecture which can help free up stored tension but more importantly, expand your depth of experience of life itself. This workshop is meant to evoke curiosity within you, to open directions and possibility of moving, feeling and acting. The practice will leave you feeling connected and in awe of mystery and intelligence of our body.
